Arrest over Poulton sex attack

A man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault after a woman was attacked in a Poulton street

Police were called around 4.10am on Saturday following reports a 30-year-old woman had been assaulted in Blackpool Old Road.

The woman, from the Blackpool area, is being supported by specially trained officers.

Following enquiries a 42-year-old man from Knott End was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
