Appeal to identify woman found unconscious in a Blackpool street

Blackpool Police are appealing for information following the incident on Beresford Street on Wednesday (December 23) where a woman was found by a member of the public.

The woman was lying on the floor in an "unconscious state" and had suffered a significant head injury. Police have still not been able to identify who the she is.

A spokesman for Blackpool Police said: "We are keeping an open mind but early information suggests the injury is as a result of a fall.

"We are appealing for anyone who may know who the female is or have any information regarding the incident. She is described as a white female, around 50-60 years of age with reddish brown hair. She was wearing brown slippers, glasses, a green Christmas jumper, a blue dressing gown and a blue bobble hat."

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting reference 1386 of the December 23.
