Appeal over supermarket purse theft

Police have launched an appeal following the theft of a purse from a supermarket.

The incident happened at approximately 4pm on April 6 in Booths supermarket on Haven Road, Lytham.

A woman dropped her purse and another woman bent down immediately behind the victim and picked up the purse and left the store.

The woman then followed the victim out of the shop without informing her.

The woman was white, in her 50s or 60s with glasses and light hair.

She was wearing a black coat and black trousers and carrying a green plastic carrier bag
