Crews called to car submerged in storm

This car was left submerged in Blackpool as Storm Ciara brought strong winds and heavy rain to Lancashire and the rest of the UK on Sunday

The car was submerged in Rigby Road, Blackpool

Crews from South Shore and Fleetwood stations responded to the incident in Rigby Road under the Seasiders Way flyover at around 7.40am.

A warning was then issued to avoid the area.

The water was reported to be up to 1.5 metres deep and firefighters in flood suits and life jackets rescued from the vehicle two people who were put into the care of North West Ambulance Service.
