Creative children win royal seal of approval
In May toddlers in the Oak Tree Group at Tree Tots Nursery in Kirkham each created a series of pictures to recognise the birth of the latest edition to Britain’s Royal family.
Following the birth of Prince George in 2013, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Kate, celebrated the arrival of daughter Princess Charlotte earlier this year.

Sarah Cartmell, 41, deputy manager at the Field View-based nursery, said: “We all did a drawing with Prince William, Kate, George and the new baby as well and posted each one in May.
“Whenever there is a nice story in the news we try to talk about it with the children. All the children liked talking about Princess Charlotte.
“Last Thursday we received a reply from the family.
“The envelope had the Elizabeth Royal seal and was addressed from the Palace.

Princess Charlotte was born on May 2 in the Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital in London.
She is the fourth in line for the role as monarch, behind Prince Charles, Prince William and brother Prince George.
Last weekend huge crowds turned out to celebrate as she was christened in a special ceremony at St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham.

“We talked about the drawings, the day we went to the post box and the card and what it said. It was wonderful for them to respond.”
The message to the nursery read: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge thank the Oak Tree children for the very lovely drawings set of the birth of their daughter Princess Charlotte.
“The Royal Highnesses have been overwhelmed by all the wonderful messagess they have received and send their warmest thanks and best wishes.”
