The Chairman’s Challenge, now in its 11th year, is a competition run by Lancashire County Council (LCC) to encourage children and young people to think about their health and wellbeing.

The chairman of LCC, Kevin Ellard, said: “Whether you have taken part in previous years or you’re entering it for the first time, the Chairman’s Challenge encourages people to come up with some exciting and interesting ideas to help others.”

As part of the project, schools and centres must apply online and show what activities they will do to promote the challenge’s health and wellbeing theme.

Applications must be received by November 7, with the final taking place in June next year, where teams will present their plans.
