Centenarian from Ansdell had a special delivery from King Charles on huge milestone birthday
Centenarian Pam Taylor celebrated her 100th birthday with family and friends and received a telegrapm from the King.
There were plenty of celebrations at a Ansdell care home following the 100th birthday of a popular resident.

Centenarian Pam Taylor has been living at MHA Starr Hills in Ansdell Road since 2018 and celebrated her 100th birthday with her family, staff and her fellow residents.

Pam enjoys arts and crafts and is a keen painter, and during her younger days worked in retail.
The home, with the help of Pam's family, decked out one of the lounges with birthday themed balloons and banners.
Pam's favourite entertainer came in to provide some live entertainment as a birthday gift, especially for her as he has now retired.

Speaking after the celebrations Emma Falkingham, activity coordinator said: “Pam had a great time celebrating her birthday and she had a huge smile on her face throughout the day.
“There was a buffet tea and birthday cake for everyone which went down really well.
“All the staff were on hand to support, and it was a real team effort in making sure the day was a success.
“Pam received plenty of gifts and cards, but her favourite was the telegram from the King.
“I saw Pam after and she was very happy with what had been arranged for her.”
