Cause of dawn blaze in Blackpool under investigation
The cause of a flat fire in Park Road, central Blackpool. is today being investigated by the fire service.
The blaze broke out at around 6.22am and was tackled by two crews from Blackpool Fire Station.
Firefighters used a hosereel jet to put out the flames, which were spreading through the first floor flat, before using a portable fan unit to clear the property of smoke, a Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said.
