Cats eyes to help light up motorway
The Highways England scheme between junction 34 at Lancaster and Burton Services is due to begin on Monday and should be completed by the end of the month.
New reflective road studs will be installed along the route and white lines will be repainted to help drivers.

Hide AdPeter Gee, project manager at Highways England, said: “This scheme will result in smoother and safer journeys for drivers on the M6 as a result of the new cat’s eyes, lane markings and resurfacing.”
The northbound side of the M6 will be closed overnight between Junction 34 at Lancaster and Junction 35 at Carnforth on Monday and Tuesday for the work.
