Car crash left its rear wheels '˜4ft up a wall'

Police were called to the incident on Addison Road at around 2.50pm, where the vehicle had partially demolished the brick wall at the front of the property.

Officers found the red Ford Fiesta with its rear wheels lifted off the ground following the collision.

The male driver was unhurt, police said.

But one shocked resident snapped a picture of the damage – showing the car beached on the wall – as emergency services attended the scene yesterday.

A Lancashire Police spokesman said: “We were called out at 2.50pm to an incident involving one car.

“The back two wheels of the vehicle ended up four feet up a wall.

“An ambulance and the fire service attended but there were no reports of any injuries.”
