The event is aimed at those wanting to set up their own business, and want to hear from others who have set up their own businesses.

Information will be offered on support that is available, including the new enterprise allowance, and self-employment support services will be on hand to offer advice.

Gareth Carr, employment and partnership manager at Blackpool Job Centre, said: “We are really pleased with our lead entrepreneur’s enthusiasm, and everyone at Blackpool Jobcentre Plus is confident this event is going to be a successful one.

“A number of local self-made business people who will speak about their experience of working for themselves and hopefully inspire and motivate delegates.”

The event is open from 1-4pm on Friday, September 19, at Viva Cabaret Showbar on Church Street, Blackpool, and will be compered by Radio Wave DJ Ged Mills.
