Britney in Blackpool: Road closures and security information for the event

However, certain roads will be closed in preparation for the event and security procedures will be in place.

Here's everything you need to know about road closures and security information for the Britney Spears concert.

The Promenade will be closed to traffic from 10.30am on Saturday 1 September to 1.30am on Sunday 2 September between Chapel Street and Pleasant Street to enable the Britney Spears concert to take place.

Traffic for this event will be diverted:

Southbound - Promenade, Pleasant Street, (Springfield Road), Dickson Road, Talbot Road, Cookson Street, Caunce Street, Grosvenor Street, Church Street, Park Road, Read’s Avenue, Central Drive, Chapel Street, Promenade

Northbound - Promenade, Chapel Street, Central Drive, Albert Road, Regent Road, Cookson Street, Talbot Road, Dickson Road, Pleasant Street, Promenade

Security information

The Tower Festival Headland venue advises concert-goers to avoid bringing a bag wherever possible, as all bags are subject to a search by security.

No backpacks, large bags, holdalls or suitcases will be permitted into the venue.

There will be no temporary storage facilities for items such as these within the venue and it will be left to the owner to find a safe temporary facility to hold the item.

The venue advises that should you require a bag you should ensure it is no larger than an A4 piece of paper.

You may be subject to a search by security upon entry.

Customers under 16 must be accompanied by an adult 18+ and you just be prepared to show identification if requested. All customers require a ticket.

Once your ticket has been scanned you will not be able to leave the concert venue and re-enter, but you are free to leave to concert at any time should you need to.

Bags, umbrellas, food and drink and chairs are not permitted into this venue.
