Blaze tackled at Fleetwood fish and chip shop
Damage was caused at a Fleetwood fish and chip shop when a blaze broke out this morning.
Two fire appliances were called to the Eating Plaice on Lord Street at 10.20am.
The fire was tackled by two teams using breathing apparatus, a dry powder extinguisher and a ventilation unit, and the fire was extinguished by 11.30am.
The blaze, which began at the downstairs chip range, destroyed the range and caused smoke damage to the downstairs room.
Although a member of staff was on the premises at the time, no one was hurt.
