As preparations begin at Moor Park Primary School in Bispham for its 75th anniversary celebrations in 2027, the school is inviting anyone who has been part of its remarkable journey to share their memories, stories, photographs and special moments.

Since opening its doors in 1952 as St Columba’s Junior and Infant Schools, the school has welcomed generations of children and families, becoming an important part of the local community. Now, as it looks ahead to this significant milestone, school leaders are keen to capture the rich history that has helped shape the school into what it is today.

The anniversary celebrations will honour the school's achievements, recognise the people who have contributed to its success, and create a lasting record of memories spanning 75 years.

The school is especially keen to hear from:

  • Former pupils

  • Parents, grandparents and extended family members

  • Former staff members

  • Past governors

  • Members of the wider community who have connections with the school

Whether it's a favourite teacher, a memorable school trip, a sports day triumph, lifelong friendships formed in the classroom, or a treasured photograph tucked away in a family album, every story will help paint a picture of the school's proud history.

Miss Haslam, Head of School said:

"Our school has been at the heart of the community for 75 years, and behind every year is a collection of wonderful memories. We know there are countless stories waiting to be told, and we would love to hear from everyone who has been part of our journey. By sharing memories, photographs and experiences, our community can help us celebrate the people, events and achievements that have made our school so special."

Sharing a memory is simple. Visitors can complete the dedicated memories form on the school's website. For those who would prefer to speak with someone directly, there is an option on the form to request contact from a member of the school team.

The school hopes the anniversary celebrations in 2027 will bring together generations of former pupils and staff, creating an opportunity to reflect on the past while looking forward to an exciting future.

Have a memory to share? We'd love to hear from you. Visit our website and complete the memories form today to help us celebrate 75 years of learning, friendship and community.
