Blackpool weather forecast for final weekend of Easter half-term as warm spell ends and cooler change arrives
Blackpool is set for a cooler and more changeable end to the Easter half-term weekend after an unusually warm start to April.
The UK has enjoyed a spell of sunshine and well above-average temperatures this week, with some areas reaching the mid-20s.
However, the Met Office says a sharp change is now underway as a cold front moves in from the north-west, bringing cooler air, cloud and rain.

In Blackpool, Friday will begin with sunny intervals before cloud thickens and light rain arrives later in the day. It will also turn breezier, with temperatures reaching around 11°C.
Saturday is expected to be unsettled, with rain clearing to leave a mix of sunshine and showers. Some of these could be heavy, with a risk of hail and thunder, while brisk winds continue. Temperatures will remain around 11C.
Sunday looks slightly brighter, with sunny spells and scattered showers and highs of around 12C, offering some dry interludes for those making the most of the final weekend of the school holidays.
The Met Office said the recent warm spell was caused by southerly winds drawing warmer air up from the continent, but this is now being replaced by more typical spring conditions.
Despite the change, forecasters say the weekend will not be a complete washout, with a mix of sunshine and showers expected before more settled conditions begin to return into next week.
