Blackpool Tower to light up orange - this is when and why

Blackpool Tower will light up orange for a very important reason.

On Wednesday, November 26, District 19 of the Inner Wheel Clubs of GB&I are lighting up Blackpool Tower in Orange, with a blue and yellow heart (Inner Wheel Colours).

"Orange the World" is the name of a global UN campaign to end violence against women and girls. It launches each year on November 25th and concludes on December 10th, with the 16-day period symbolizing a brighter future free from violence. Activities include wearing orange, illuminating landmarks in orange light, and using social media hashtags like #OrangeTheWorld.

Clubs throughout District 19 - which covers Cumbria and North West Lancashire will be united in action by raising awareness in many different ways - so look out for the Orange themed projects.
