‘There was a multi-agency response for a concern for safety incident’
Lifeboat crews were scambled in Blackpool to a safety concern for a person near North Pier.
Volunteers were paged at 2.20pm yesterday as part of a multi-agency response - HM Coastguard, Blackpool Council Beach Patrol and Blackpool Police - launching D Class lifeboat, Blackpool Endeavour.

A Blackpool Lifeboat spokesperson said: “Shortly after arriving on scene, the matter was safely resolved by partners on land and the lifeboat was stood down.”
If you see anything of concern in the sea or on the beach, call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
