Blackpool Pleasure Beach Resort unveils major revamp of Journey to Hell with 12-hour Halloween event

Blackpool Pleasure Beach Resort’s Halloween scare event is getting its biggest overhaul yet - with longer opening hours, new ticket options and an all-day format for 2026.

Pleasure Beach Resort has announced a major revamp of its Journey to Hell event, transforming it into a 12-hour day-and-night experience running from 10am to 10pm.

For the first time, visitors will no longer need a separate evening ticket, with guests able to stay in the park from morning until late night as Halloween entertainment ramps up after dark.

Here’s what visitors need to know:

What has changed?

Journey to Hell will now run as a full-day event rather than a standalone evening scare attraction.

During the daytime, the park will operate as normal with rides, family-friendly Halloween activities and a brand-new family scare maze.

From 6pm, the South Park area will close and the North Park will transform into the main scare zone, with late-night mazes, live performers and immersive entertainment taking over.

Night rides will run on Aviktas, Launch Pad, ICON, Big Dipper, Infusion, Derby Racer, Alice in Wonderland and Ghost Train, alongside a live DJ and roaming performers creating an after-dark atmosphere.

Scare mazes will now be optional add-ons instead of being included in a standard ticket - similar to other major UK Halloween events.

How much are tickets?

Visitors now have several pricing options depending on how brave they’re feeling.

  • Full day (10am–10pm) + all scare mazes: from £57
  • Nighttime only (from 6pm) + all scare mazes: from £50
  • Full day ticket without mazes: from £32

Guests who buy a full-day ticket without mazes can add individual mazes on the day.

How much are the scare mazes on their own?

Individual maze pricing has also been confirmed:

  • One maze: £15
  • Two mazes: £25
  • Three mazes: £30
  • Family maze: £5

Season pass holders can enter Journey to Hell without an extra event ticket, but must still buy maze access separately.

When is Journey to Hell 2026?

The event will run from October 17 to October 31, 2026.

Maze themes and further details are set to be announced later.

Amanda Thompson OBE, CEO of Pleasure Beach Resort, said the new format would allow more visitors to experience the event.
