This year marks the first time it will be held in Blackpool.

Amanda Thompson OBE, CEO of Pleasure Beach Resort, said it was “truly an honour” to welcome the awards.

“It’s an event that celebrates the very best of our industry, and we’re looking forward to opening our doors to colleagues and friends from across the sector,” she said.

“The UK Theme Park Awards 2026 promises to be a fantastic occasion, and we can’t wait to showcase everything that makes Pleasure Beach such a special place.”

The awards celebrate excellence across the UK theme park industry, recognising standout rides, attractions, shows and events.

Winners are decided through a combination of expert judging and public vote.

Last year’s ceremony attracted more than 300,000 public votes, with 180 industry representatives attending in person and a further 8,000 viewers watching via livestream.

James Cox, director of marketing, sales and PR at the resort, said hosting the ceremony was an opportunity to highlight the attraction’s continued investment and innovation - including its upcoming new ride, Aviktas.

“Delegates can enjoy our rich history blended with our iconic rides and continued investment into the future,” he said.

“The awards are the perfect platform to demonstrate our ambition and innovation.

“We’re excited to welcome everyone to experience it first hand, and proud to be at the heart of such a huge event for the industry.”

The UK Theme Park Awards are organised by Theme Park Network, publisher of the independent consumer guide ThemeParks-UK.

Further details, including the presenter line-up and judging panel, will be announced in due course.

Public voting is expected to open later this year, with a shortlist compiled through nominations and expert panel input.
