Blackpool Pleasure Beach late night riding events return - here’s everything you need to know

Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s popular Late Night Riding events give visitors the chance to experience the park after dark and have returned for 2026.

What’s on & when?

Thrill-seekers visiting Blackpool this summer can enjoy a different kind of theme park experience as Late Night Riding returns to Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

The special events allow guests to stay in the park well into the evening with rides operating after sunset and a large fireworks display rounding off the day.

Late Night Riding days typically see the park open for around 12 hours from 10am until 10pm, giving visitors the opportunity to enjoy their favourite attractions during daylight and after dark.

The extended hours mean rollercoasters and rides can be experienced in a different atmosphere with the park illuminated at night and live entertainment taking place around the resort.

According to the park the events feature themed music, shows and additional performances, creating a festival-style atmosphere across the attraction.

Times, tickets & info

The evening concludes with a fireworks display over the park’s skyline of rides and rollercoasters, which typically begins at around 10pm on selected dates during the summer.

While most attractions remain open throughout the evening some rides close earlier than the park’s final closing time to allow for safety exclusion zones during the fireworks display.

These can include major rollercoasters such as ICON, the Big One, Avalanche, Steeplechase and Big Dipper.

The events are part of a wider programme of extended opening days at the famous seaside amusement park, which also runs “Twilight Thrills” evenings where rides stay open until around 9pm alongside DJs, performers and other entertainment.

Standard eTickets to the park allow unlimited rides during the day, subject to height restrictions, with specific prices set for Late Night Riding dates.

Fireworks start at 10:00pm on the following dates:

  • 4th July
  • 25th July
  • 8th August
  • 29th August
  • Saturday 28th November – Fireworks start at 5pm

For visitors, the appeal lies in the chance to experience classic rides such as the Big One and modern coasters like ICON under the night sky - something many theme park fans say offers a completely different thrill compared with daytime riding.

Late Night Riding events usually take place on selected Saturdays during the summer season and are among the park’s most popular dates, with the fireworks display marking a spectacular finale to a full day of rides and entertainment.
