'˜Blackpool needs to come together' - Song recorded by youngsters eyes the Christmas number one spot
The song, A Christmas Miracle, delivers a message about how people can help ‘turn the world around’ through their own actions, and was recorded at Blackpool Sixth Form by college students and pupils from 10 schools.
On sale from 69p, any cash raised will go towards helping children living in poverty, with the campaign – given the hashtag#bethemiracle – backed by Corrie stars and various other celebrities.

Hide AdBlackpool Sixth music tutor Ash Goodinson, who passionately co-ordinated the song alongside fellow musician John Stevens, called on Blackpool ‘to come together’ following weeks of bad headlines about the town.
“We are raising money for charity and it’s a good news story,” he said. “Children are helping children.
“The song has been filmed, produced, and recorded by young people. The youngest was four and the oldest is at university. They have united to do this.”
Blackpool Tower will light up in support of the single tomorrow, while a campaign video will be shown at attractions across the town.
