Blackpool named as the Wetherspoons capital of the UK in new study
It has claimed top spot for the much-loved venues
Blackpool has officially cemented its status as the UK's Wetherspoon capital, with a staggering six of the popular pubs crammed into a five-mile radius.
That's more than anywhere else in the country.

Holidaymakers and locals alike can grab a cheap pint at The Layton Rakes, The Albert and the Lion, or the iconic Velvet Coaster, with its prime spot near Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
The resort topped the Great British Coastal Resort Index compiled by GJW Direct which looked at 50 seaside towns, including how many Wetherspoons were on offer.
South Shields and Tynemouth shared third place, each boasting four pubs for thirsty visitors.
