He is supporting the campaing run by the Department for Transport’s THINK! road safety campaign along with Coca Cola.

The Designated Driver scheme will be running at thousands of pubs across the UK for an eighth year. This year, there is a particular focus on destination and community-based pub and bar locations with parking facilities, to help drive footfall to these pubs during the festive period.
And a second free soft drink is available to people buying a Coca Cola product, a Schweppes drink or Appletiser at certain pubs which can be found at www.holidaysarecoming.com/designated driver. Paul Maynard said: “I am really pleased to be supporting this scheme and I do urge people to check out which local pubs and bars are running with it.

“Having a designated driver is important and I think a scheme like this highlights and says thank you to that driver. Drink driving is wrong at any time of the year, but coming up to Christmas it is especially devastating to those affected by an accident.”
