Blackpool hoteliers open day success

Stalls filled the Empress Ballroom for the event between 10am and 4pm with exhibitors ranging from accommodation agents eviivo and Booking.com, to attraction operators such as the Pleasure Beach and the Sandcastle.

Claire Smith, president of StayBlackpool, said: “Despite the weather we had a good turnout, and all the stalls were there apart from four who couldn’t get here.

“Feedback from both the attendees and the exhibitors was very positive and we think everyone got something out of it.

“We also had a drinks village in the arena next to the Empress ballroom.

“This was our second year at the Winter Gardens and we intend to be back next year, possibly in the new conference centre providing it is ready.”
