Kennedy House on the corner of Alexandra Road and the Promenade between central and south pier has been put on the market by Blackpool Council with a reserve price of £125,000.

The 1960s building has 10 flats and two small ground floor retail units, one of which could be converted into two.

Six of the flats are let out on long leases with four council-owned one bedroomed flats vacant.

The freehold apartment block has a car park at the front and recently had £140,000 remedial work done on it.

One of the retail units on Alexandra Road formerly traded as a hot food takeaway restaurant. It will be auctioned by Pugh on October 17.

The council approved the plan to sell off the freehold property on September 22.

In the decision notice it said: “Should the reserve not be met delegated authority to be given to the service manager – on the day of the auction to sell at best consideration.”
