The club said in a statement: "Blackpool Football Club is to make further day-to-day operational changes, effective tomorrow (Wednesday), in light of the ever-changing situation surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.

"Following on from Friday’s decision to close the shop, ticket office and main reception, the Seasiders will now follow Government advice and protect the wellbeing of personnel and supporters by partially closing its club offices at Bloomfield Road until further notice.

"Many departments will now be based away from the stadium, however staff members will remain contactable via email.

"Supporters are asked to note that online retail orders will be fulfilled and dispatched as normal during this period.

"These are unprecedented times and we must all take action to help prevent and contain the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

"As we all navigate these challenges moving forward, the club will continue to monitor developments closely and provide further updates, via its official website and social media channels, when necessary."

English football remains on lockdown until April 3 at the earliest, although this date is likely to be pushed back.

So far, Blackpool's games against Sunderland (H), Shrewsbury Town (A) and Peterborough United (A) have all been postponed.

The club confirmed last week that any tickets already purchased for those games can be used for the rearranged dates.
