UR Potential based in Central Drive is taking part in the BIBAs’ Academy after winning the awards Third Sector Business of the Year title last September.

Deborah Terras, a director of UR Potential said entering the BIBAs has helped them focus and plan for the future. She said: “We knew other Third Sector businesses which had entered the awards previously and told us how beneficial the BIBAs were.

“The application process gave us an opportunity to look at our business plan and goals and develop a two-year growth plan; it also gave us the chance to take a step back and look at what we had achieved in five years.

“Through the interview stage and the Judges’ On Tour second round of judging, we had the opportunity to give the judges a true representation of what URPotential does.

“We are starting out in our BIBAs Academy journey and so far it has been very beneficial. But, our business has already had recognition and we have secured contracts and funding thanks in part to the BIBAs.”
