Beloved Blackpool bakery announces week-long closure after ‘busiest Saturday’ ever
”We’ll be taking a break soon.”
One of Blackpool’s most beloved bakeries has announced it will be taking a break after what it believes was one of the busiest Saturdays it has ever experienced.
The Lainés, on Church Street, has told customers that the shop will close for one week in September following the exceptionally busy day.
A notice displayed in the bakery’s shop window reads: ‘We’ll be taking a break soon, the shop will be closed for 1 week from Saturday September 5th (2pm) to Wednesday September 16th. Thanks.’

The establishment is one of the most popular bakeries in Blackpool.
On its website, The Lainés describes itself by saying: ‘In the words of the Carlsberg brewery - ‘Laines Bakery, Probably the best bakery in the world.”
The bakery took to social media following the busy Saturday to thank customers, while apologising to those who were unable to get what they wanted.
