Fire crews from Blackpool and South Shore were called out at 5.50pm to find the home 'well alight' on arrival. The home's occupants had managed to escape from the burning building unharmed before crews arrived.

It took firefighters around three hours to bring the blaze under control and prevent it from spreading to neighbouring homes.
