Alarm raised over house blaze

Fire crews were called to a Blackpool home following reports people were trapped by a blaze.

The incident happened at just after 6.25am today in George Street, close to the town centre.

Two fire appliances from Blackpool and a crew from and South Shore responded.

Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus entered the property and used three hosereel jets to extinguish the fire as they searched for a possible casualty.

Nobody was trapped in the fire and there were no casualties.
