People interested in adopting a child can to come along and have an informal discussion with our friendly team. In aid of National Adoption Week, a number of adopters will be on hand to answer any questions and talk about their experiences.

Cllr John Jones, cabinet member with responsibility for Children’s Service, said: “National Adoption Week 2015 highlights the plight of these vulnerable children and to help them find forever families.

“We would love to hear from those who are interested in adopting a child, and particularly those who would like to find out more about children in the harder to place category.

“Sadly, the children who find themselves in this category typically wait a much longer time to find their forever families. This includes sibling groups, children aged 4 and above, those with complex or additional needs and children from black and ethnic minority families.
