Mouse from The Gruffalo has made his world-first live appearance at The Gruffalo & Friends Clubhouse in Blackpool.
Families queued the length of the famous promenade before opening to ensure they could be among the first anywhere in the world to meet the much-loved character in person.
The new show sees Mouse step out of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler's beloved story to encourage children to discover that things are not always as frightening as they first seem, through audience participation, courage, friendship and fun.
Jenn McDonough, General Manager at The Gruffalo & Friends Clubhouse, said: “It's been fantastic to see so many families arrive before we even opened, all wanting to be among the first in the world to meet Mouse in person. Watching children recognise him instantly and throw themselves into the adventure has made today incredibly special.”
