A mother whose son and nephew were rescued from the sea off Blackpool has been reunited with the RNLI volunteers she credits with saving their lives.
Months after the dramatic rescue near South Pier, Zully met the Blackpool RNLI crew who pulled 10-year-old Subby and 12-year-old Kizza from the water after they became trapped beneath South Pier in heavy seas.
The family had travelled to the resort from Bradford when the incident unfolded on 28 May. Zully watched in horror as her son's head disappeared beneath the waves while both boys clung to the pier's stanchions for around 40 minutes. Her 21-year-old nephew, Ted, also became stranded after entering the water in an attempt to rescue them.
The RNLI reached the scene within minutes, with volunteer crews safely rescuing the children before returning to save Ted.
Below is a picture gallery capturing the emotional moment the family reunited with the RNLI heroes who helped bring them safely home.
