World class riders will be taking in Red Rose hills and moors next July, but the county has something for everyone.
Where you want a gentle roll along the promenade, a family off-road trail, or a serious hill climb, it’s all on your doorstep.
We checked out Visit Lancashire for some inspiration, check out what we discovered in the pages below:

13. The Leeds and Liverpool Canal
It is possible to cycle the whole 127 mile length of the Leeds & Liverpool Canal via towpaths, apart from two tunnels at Foulridge and Gannow. This takes you through varied landscapes, connecting the cities, with sections on the National Cycle Network, but expect challenging uneven/muddy towpaths, tricky gates, and potential headwinds, though rewarding with industrial heritage, wildlife, and picturesque towns like Wigan and Skipton, suitable for bikepacking or shorter rides. | LDRS
