“We’re absolutely thrilled with the transformation of this spectacular venue.”

An iconic Blackpool pub has reopened after a six figure refurbishment, including a complete renovation of the inside and outside.

Thwaites Brewery owned The Clarence now boasts refreshed areas for live sports, including the installation of AR dart boards, new pool tables and TV screens, as well as new carpets, wall coverings, and furniture throughout giving the pub a brand-new £670,000 look.

Tony Crompton and daughter Amanda Calvert will operate The Clarence, and say they’re really excited to get stuck in.

“We’re absolutely thrilled with the transformation of this spectacular venue.

“The Clarence has always been a great local pub with a fantastic community around it, and this investment has given us the opportunity to make it even better for our regulars.

The Clarence is well known for being a busy sports venue as well as a popular pub among locals.

Director of pubs and brewing at Thwaites, Andrew Bucchanan said: “This pub is in an excellent location, with a fantastic local market – and we knew it needed some investment.
