The centenary Blackpool Dance Festival has taken centre stage at the iconic Winter Gardens Blackpool, drawing elite dancers and enthusiastic audiences from across the globe.
Held in the spectacular Empress Ballroom, the event has long been recognised as one of the most prestigious competitions in the international dance calendar with its legacy stretching back to 1920.
This year’s anniversary edition saw competitors take part in a series of amateur and professional contests, including the renowned British Open Championships, as Blackpool once again confirmed its status as the spiritual home of ballroom dancing.
The final day delivered a dazzling showcase of elegance and precision beneath the ballroom’s famous chandeliers, as dancers in full formal attire brought a century of tradition and glamour to life on the historic floor.
