"I am running for three fantastic charities here in Blackpool: The Swallows Head and Neck Cancer Support Group; Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre Samaritans; and Amazing Graze.

"I have been involved with all these charities and seen the fantastic work they do to support those struggling or in need.

"I have set up fundraising pages on JustGiving where it is possible to donate to the charities I am supporting. I am extremely grateful for anyone who can contribute and I know the charities will be too."

Scott added: ''I thank anyone who supports me by donating. I am no professional athlete so knowing I'm running to raise money for the charities will give me the motivation to finish the race, but don't expect any records!''
