Persimmon Homes has reduced the price of its four-bedroom, detached Roseberry-style family homes at its Coastal Dunes development in Lytham.

The development, adjacent to St Anne’s Beach, is described as a “much sought-after location enjoying outstanding scenery looking out across the Ribble Estuary”.

The development features two, three, four, and five-bedroom homes, although the five-bedroom homes have sold out and there is a waiting list for the forthcoming two-bedroom properties.

A Persimmon spokeswoman said: “Persimmon has adjusted the prices of its four-bedroom Roseberry-style family homes to bring them below the new Help to Buy threshold, enabling first-time buyers to access the Government scheme and purchase one of their most popular house designs in a fantastic coastal location.”

“There is also a range of three bedroom homes at Coastal Dunes from as little as £167,000 – again, making them accessible to first-time buyers.”

The government’s Help to Buy scheme is designed to “make buying your own home more affordable, helping you buy a brand-new home sooner than you think”.

Buyers only need a five per cent deposit, while the Government will lend up to 20 per cent of the value of the property with an equity loan that is interest-free for five years.

Buyers then only need a mortgage for 75 per cent of the purchase price.

The scheme is available on new-build properties priced up to £224,400 in the North-West – with the Roseberry-style homes reduced to the cap.

Other remaining properties in phase two of the Coastal Dunes development include a four-bedroom, detached Kendal-style home, priced at £220,000; several three-bedroom, semi-detached, Rufford-style homes for £180,000; and two three-bedroom, mid-terrace Souter-style homes, priced at £167,000.
