Independent Blackpool restaurant celebrates special grand opening night
Blackpool’s dining scene got a fresh burst of flavour last night as TukTuk Indian Street Food opened its doors with a grand launch.
The brainchild of 22-year-old local entrepreneur Cody Milnes the restaurant drew in a crowd eager to experience its mix of street food favourites and restaurant-style Indian dishes.

Cody, who also runs popular spots Desi Lounge and Boujee Bar on Lytham Road, said the inspiration for TukTuk came from a personal search for high-quality Indian food in Blackpool.
He said: “I wanted to create something more than just takeaway - a place where friends and families could enjoy a night out.”
Guests at the launch enjoyed everything from aromatic curries and street food bites to TukTuk’s quirky Indian-themed cocktails.
While the first night wasn’t without a few minor hiccups, Cody promised improvements to ensure the next visit is even smoother.

He said: “What a Night to Remember at TukTuk Indian Street Food! Last night marked our grand opening, and honestly… we’re blown away!
“The love and support we received was incredible - so many of you came out to celebrate with us, and the energy was just amazing.
“Seeing everyone enjoying the food, the vibes, and the TukTuk experience meant everything to us We also want to be real with you - it was our first night, and while it was a huge success, we know there were a few hiccups along the way.
“We’re already taking everything on board and working hard behind the scenes to make sure your next visit is even smoother and better. Thank you for your patience, your support, and for being part of the beginning of our journey. We can’t wait to welcome you back soon for more flavour, more vibes, and even better service!”
TukTuk also hopes to contribute to Blackpool’s hospitality scene by bringing new investment and ideas, blending a modern twist on traditional Indian cuisine with a lively social atmosphere.
As a special treat, diners on opening weekend were offered complimentary sparkling wine, setting the tone for a restaurant that’s ready to become a staple for locals and visitors alike.
