I opened a new bar and the Tipsy Seagull is bringing coastal charm to Blackpool
A former office on Lytham Road has been given a new lease of life as the Tipsy Seagull, Blackpool’s newest micropub is already drawing a loyal crowd just months after opening.
Blackpool has a fresh addition to its pub scene with the arrival of the Tipsy Seagull, a compact but characterful new spot on Lytham Road.
Once a forgettable office building, the unit has been transformed into a warm and welcoming micropub that opened its doors in November 2025.

A spokesperson from The Tipsy Seagull on Facebook, said: “We’ve been aiming to create somewhere comfortable for people to socialise.”
“We're open from 12 noon until 8pm(+) and we are dog friendly.
“The Tipsy Seagull Alehouse is on Lytham Road – just around the corner from Bloomfield Road and a short walk from South Shore Station.
“We’re here to bring you a welcoming space with character, charm, and a splash of seaside spirit.”
Inside, the Tipsy Seagull keeps things simple in the best possible way. The space is bright thanks to large front windows that flood the room with natural light, giving it an airy feel even at busier times.
A mix of round tables and cushioned bench seating makes it easy to get comfortable, while playful touches, like the seagull-themed cushions - add a bit of humour without tipping into gimmick territory.

Soft coastal colours and a brick-style feature wall help create that relaxed, lived-in atmosphere that a good micropub relies on.
The bar keeps things interesting with a rotating selection of quality drinks. Four cask ales sit alongside an ever-changing choice of craft keg options, giving regulars something new to try on each visit.
The Tipsy Seagull is shaping up to be a welcome alternative - small, sociable and refreshingly straightforward.
If its early momentum is anything to go by, it won’t stay a hidden gem for long.
