After two years we're selling our tapas bar to start our new olive oil business

The owners of a much-loved St Annes tapas bar have announced they are handing over the keys after two years, but fans of their famous olive oils won’t have to look far to find them.

After two years of cocktails, camaraderie and Mediterranean flavours the team behind Dip Drizzle Drink Tapas Bar on Wood Street have announced they are closing the chapter on their popular venue.

Andy and Becky, the couple behind the “sunniest little bar in town”, shared an emotional message with customers confirming they are passing the business on to new owners.

Located at 5b Wood Street, St Annes (FY8 1QS) the bar has built a loyal following for its relaxed atmosphere, live music, inventive cocktails and Spanish-inspired tapas. But the pair say family life is now calling.

A spokesperson for Dip Drizzle Drink Tapas Bar on Facebook said: “Running Dip Drizzle Drink Tapas Bar has been an absolute joy.

“The laughter, the music, the cocktails, the tapas, the friendships - you’ve made it all so special and we’ll be forever grateful for the memories we’ve created together.”

The decision comes as the couple look forward to spending more time with their young granddaughter, while focusing on growing their olive oil venture, Andalucian Olives.

The business, known for its extensive range of premium oils and deli products will now take centre stage, alongside plans for travel and new opportunities.

While they had hoped for one final celebration with customers the new owners are keen to begin work immediately with refurbishment plans already under way ahead of opening a brand-new bar concept at the site.

Andy and Becky said they wished the incoming team every success and thanked the community for its support over the past two years.

Fans need not despair, however. Their popular olive oils remain available to order online with a new local stockist set to be announced soon.

In the meantime, products have already made the move to a nearby independent health store in St Annes.

The couple say they will continue to appear at local events across the Fylde Coast keeping their Mediterranean spirit alive.

They said: “We’re off now for a well-deserved little break while we plan the rest of the year.”

The owners were approached for comment, but we are still yet to hear back.
