Dreamy is the brand new mascot for national charity Dreams Come True which decided to launch it with the help of Blackpool’s Kentown Wizard Foundation, a long term supporter.

The charity has been making dreams come true for life-limited and seriously ill children and young adults for more than 30 years.

Dreamy is a bottle-shaped character who captures the dreams of special children and passes them on to colleagues at DCT to fulfil.

When the charity decided to adopt a new mascot, they enlisted the help of school children across the nation. And it was 10-year old Aimee Cooper, who came up with the wonderful

concept of Dreamy.

In 2019 Kentown Wizard made a grant of £1 million to Dreams Come True to fund their ‘Hidden Communities’ project for three years.

The ambitious and innovative project aimed to grant the dreams of children living in the most deprived and hard to reach communities in the UK.

Richard Ashton, Dreams Come True’s chief executive, said: “We are incredibly lucky to have the support of the Kentown Wizard Foundation.

“It is a real honour to be in such a proactive and meaningful partnership as it allows us to positively impact the lives of children who are living in some of the most deprived and hard-to-

reach communities.”

Margaret Ingram, Kentown Wizard chief executive, said: “We were absolutely delighted to welcome Dreamy to Blackpool!

“Dreamy is a fabulous mascot for a great charity.
