Football focused holiday camp launched by AFC

AFC Fylde Community Foundation will launch its first Soccer School at Fylde Sports and Education Centre in Mill Farm Sports Village in Wesham during the Easter holidays.

The soccer school will include coaching from FA/UEFA qualified coaches, AFC Fylde player appearances, daily discounts at the club shop, stadium visits/tours and a chance to be spotted

by AFC Fylde Academy.

It is open to boys and girls aged six to 16, and will run between Tuesday, March 30 and Thursday, April 1; and between Tuesday, April 6 and Thursday, April 8.

The Foundation’s activity camps will also run during the holidays at Kirkham St Michael’s Primary School and BActive Leisure Centre, Warton.

The camps will be held between Monday, March 29 and Thursday, April 1; and between Tuesday, April 6 and Friday, April 9.

The camp will run from 8am until 5pm and will be open for boys and girls aged six to 12.

Dan Crofts, Foundation senior sports co-ordinator, said: “Here at the Foundation we are absolutely delighted to be able to offer such extensive holiday provision this Easter.

“The last year has been difficult for children. We know first-hand they have not been able to take part in as much sport and exercise as they might normally.

“To be able to offer three different camps this Easter and welcome back local children to enjoy what we have on offer is fantastic news.

“The team and I are really looking forward to it and I’m confident they will be a great success.”
