Lovat Road has a style and character of its own. Originally built for cotton mill workers, the street was once a lively and energetic area to live. So much so that it was dubbed the Coronation Street of Preston and was even featured in a BBC documentary in 1989. Now it is popular with students due to its close promiximity to the city centre.
