Club Founder Wendy says "quitting or taking a Break from Alcohol can be isolating & scary, more people are recognising that their drinking habits are affecting mental health, productivity & relationships, but because Drinking is ingrained in to our Culture, our lives can be Centred around it without us realising, it's the Only Drug that we have to explain not Using," Wendy adds " I set up the Facebook page to see if people would be interested in attending events & Meet ups & it was immediately clear to see that this was much needed, people have been expressing interest from all over the area, even as far as Preston.”

The club is now in talks with local cafes and coffee bars who are kindly offering support by opening their venues for "late night coffee" on specified evenings to create a network of events across the area. This means that people who are taking a break or living a sober lifestyle can socialise without the peer pressure & temptation to drink.

People who just want a night away from alcohol in a friendly environment are welcome to attend too.

The group are also planning social walks , meetings , music events & more and have received kind offers of support from volunteers, businesses & organisations.

One of the main aims is to reduce the stigma around "choosing not to drink" so that everyone can access the support they need without feeling ashamed and to create fun social events.

"Let's Normalise Choosing not to Drink"

The Club is not a Replacement for Addiction or Recovery Support , but an Alcohol Free Social Network that anyone can Attend, please follow our Facebook page for updates on Events,
