The popular event saw people flock to Garstang Library for Dementia UK’s ‘Time for a Cuppa’ campaign to raise awareness and funds.

This special coffee morning was organised by care company Home Instead and is running alongside the memory café at the library, set up by Garstang county councillor Sandra Perkins.

Michelle Thompson, from Home Instead, said: “We had a great response to the event and it’s important we raise awareness of dementia.

“We had a chat, over coffee and a cake, about what support there is for people locally. We also explained how we support people and where they can go for it.”
