These are Lancashire Covid hotspots with the highest infection rates as the county awaits new tier announcement

Businesses across Lancashire are waiting anxiously to find out which tier the county will be placed in once national lockdown comes to an end on December 2.

While the daily case and infection rate has continued to fall for much of the county, there are a number of areas in the county where the rolling rate is still well above the national average.

The figures, from Public Health England, show which neighbourhoods have a case rate of more than 500 for the seven days to November 18, 2020.

Seven–day rates are expressed per 100,000 population and are calculated by dividing the seven day count by the area population and multiplying by 100,000.
