And look out for the bumper Banknotes with a higher value which will be printed from time to time as these could significantly boost your school’s total!

Barclays has developed an innovative money management programme, Barclays Money Skills, which helps students and young people to strengthen their financial skills, knowledge and confidence.  Barclays has set an ambitious goal to reach 1 million people with the programme. The aim is to help young people develop their skills around budgeting, spending, saving, using credit and avoiding debt. Barclays Community Business Partner for the North West, Rachel Herbinson, said: “It more important than ever that we help our customers and communities to manage their money better everyday. By helping young people to make independent and informed financial decisions and to recognise the financial implications of the choices they make, we hope they will become more confident consumers of the future. Now more than ever the skills and habits we learn at a young age are what many people use for the rest of their lives. We hope our support of the Barclays Money Skills Cash for Schools partnership will inspire schools to take part and develop ways to improve the financial capability skills of their pupils.”
