The team from Blackpool and Fylde College has launched a special challenge to help the Royal British Legion's annual appeal.

Students and staff are taking on 11 different challenges across 11 days in November all related to the number 11 to raise awareness of Remembrance Day , November 11, and the work of the Royal British Legion.

And, in a related challenge, some staff and students will be trying to complete 3,000 press-ups across November.

Each group has a target to raise at least £100 for the Royal British Legion.

Lecturer Joanne Heath said: "Students and staff are involved throughout the year in fundraising campaigns supporting local and national good causes.

In a separate challenge the students recently collected food and clothes for Blackpool homeless charity Streetlife.
