The new Mini Me’s Beach Nursery in Thornton Cleveleys is just opposite the promenade, and there will be a strong emphasis on outdoor learning and beach school for the youngsters.

Owner Corinne Pegler had to delay the grand opening due to the lockdown, but the Mini Me’s Beach Nursery is now open and has immediate availability for children from birth to eight years old.

There’s room for 50 children in the nursery itself, with another 15 joining the holiday club for children aged up to eight, which will run over all half term holidays and next summer.

Corinne said: “Our Fleetwood nursery has been open for ten years and has an ‘outstanding’ rating from Ofsted. Our team are welcoming and friendly, and we are very proud of the education we provide.”

With their waterfront location, they have fully embraced the beach schooling concept, with children learning about the environment, litter-picking and other elements of the seaside.

Corinne has a degree in early childhood studies and a nursery nurse diploma, and is fully committed to providing a safe and happy environment for children to thrive in.

She added: “Beach schools are a way of giving children in their early years the opportunity to learn and develop, building their self-esteem and independence through exploring and experiencing the natural world.

“The lessons spark their intrinsic motivations to explore, create and be curious about the world around them. Beaches offer memorable learning experiences in a diverse environment that is ever changing.

“These sessions are guided by our qualified beach school leader providing endless opportunities to support the children's wellbeing.”

The nursery aims to provide a home-from-home environment, and offers flexible care, whether you are returning to work full or part time, have moved to the area and want your child to socialise or simply want to offer your child a vibrant and engaging start to life.

The new nursery has immediate availability and is open from 8am to 6pm all year round, excluding bank holidays.

Mention the Blackpool Gazette when you register before the end of October and your £30 registration fee will be waived, plus you will receive your first week’s fees for free*. Some children are also entitled to 15 hours of free nursery provision – inquire for details.

The new nursery is at 55 Carr Gate, Thornton Cleveleys, FY5 1LB.
